Senior golfers hold tourney at Portage Hills

    On Aug.5, the St. John Valley Senior Golf Tournament was held at Portage Hills Country Club, with a field of 113 golfers. Medard Soucy of Fort Kent shot a 78 for low gross, while Greg Freeman of Portage scored a low net of 68.
    Division A gross winners were Soucy, 78; Warren Walker, VaJoWa, 83 and Barry Richardson, AVCC, 89. Net, Dave Plourde, Edmundston, 75; Mike Fleming, Houlton, 78 and Philip Pelletier, Fort Kent, 80.
    Division B gross winners, Roland Duprey, Caribou, 82; Michael Gagnon, Caribou, 86 and Bob Duprey, Presque Isle, 87. Net, Bob Boucher, Fort Kent, 73; Norm Collins, Caribou, 76 and Fred Putnam, Houlton, 76.
    Division C gross winners Russell Bouchard, Presque Isle, 83; Dale Plourde, Caribou, 88 and Josephel Pelletier, Presque Isle, 90. Net, Dave Scullion, Portage, 71; Gilles Basque, Edmundston, 71 and Dave Wilcox, AVCC, 75.
