Logan GravesTrollbead bracelet winner

BOB SAWYER, left, of Ashland, was the recent raffle winner of a special Trollbead bracelet created in memory of Logan Graves, the son of Lynne and Bob Graves of Presque Isle. Logan was diagnosed with cancer in March of 1998 and passed away in December of that same year.

It was Logan’s dream to become a marine biologist, so the one-of-a-kind bracelet represents Logan and one of his favorite places, the ocean. In addition to colorful ocean-blue beads, the bracelet features the turtle, ocean and dolphin beads, the three siblings bead (in honor of Logan’s brother and sister), the endless bead (to recognize Logan’s unyielding hope and faith), and a special bead that can only be found on Logan’s bracelet. Completing the bracelet is the fish clasp. Congratulating Sawyer on winning the bracelet is Lynne Graves. Graves said $1,400 was raised through the sale of raffle tickets, and all proceeds will go to the Logan P. Graves Foundation. The Foundation was started in 1999 and for 10 years has given to other non-profit organizations like Make-A-Wish, Camp Sunshine and the Maine Children’s Cancer Program. “We were really impressed by the number of tickets we sold,” said Lynne, “and we’d like to thank everyone who participated in the fund-raiser.” The bracelet was valued at $458.
