The Men’s Twilight League concluded its regular season last Monday, and the  matches played impacted the final standings.
    The Adams/York team defeated divisional leader J.Adams/Nickel team, while the Goodwin/Peabody team scored six points in their win to leapfrog and snag the regular season Woods Division championship. The Collins/Willard team split their last match to capture  the Michelson Division Championship. And in the Els Division, the Fleming/Henderson team had a solid six-point victory to win easily that division.
All 30 teams qualify for the single elimination tournament, which begins on Aug. 17. Teams will be ranked from no. 1 to no. 30, and the playoff bracket and schedule will be posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse Wednesday Aug. 12. Good luck to all teams in this “new” season.
As of July 28, the Barb Moakler/Sarah Howland team leads the Ladies Twilight League with 74 points, four more than the second place Linda Holmes/Cathy Belyea team.
This week begins the President’s Cup Club Championship. The bracket and schedule is now posted in the club house for this single eliminationmatch-play event.
The Club Championship will be played on Aug. 22 and 23. Sign up now in the clubhouse to play in this two-day stroke-play event. There will be, as always four divisions, according to handicap for both men and ladies, as well as two divisions for juniors if enough sign up.
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 6 is the annual Babe Caron Member/Guest Tournament. Sign up now for this popular event as the field is limited to only 50 teams. Members, remember you must have at least 10 scores posted from HCGC for your authorized handicap.
