Cones, Jeannette S., 70, Limestone, at Madawaska, June 26, 2009. In keeping with Jeannette’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of the Giverson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.     Limestone – Jeannette S. Cones, 70, wife of the late Albert J. Cones Jr., went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday morning, June 26, 2009, at a Madawaska nursing facility, after an extended illness. She was born August 18, 1938, in Limestone, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Ouellette) LaFrancois. Jeannette was educated in the Limestone school system and was a communicant of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. She had been employed for many years at the Loring Dining Hall and the Loring Laundry Facility. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cones was predeceased by her husband in 1982; one brother, Reno LaFrancois.
    She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Holly and William M. Witick, Jr. of Abbot; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Alcid and Grace LaFrancois, O’Neal and Helen LaFrancois, Gilford and Joan LaFrancois, all of California, Nelson and Cecile LaFrancois of Washington State, Robert and Georgette LaFrancois of Oregon; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Germain Turcotte, Mabel Hebert, both of Houlton, Florence and Fred Turcotte of Chicago, IL, Jean and Wilfred Deane of Buckfield; two granddaughters, Martha Marie Witick and Anne Florence Witick, both of Abbot; numerous nieces and nephews.
    In keeping with Jeannette’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Main Street, Limestone with the Rev. Aaron Damboise, celebrant. Interment took place after the Mass at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the St. Louis Parish Hall, after the interment service. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Cones to the St. Louis Catholic Church Memorial Fund, care of the Parish of the Precious Blood, P.O. Box 625, Caribou, 04736. Envelopes were available at the funeral Mass. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
