In the year 1981, Scott Jackson, aka Firefighter Scott, was a fourth-grader at Teague Park School. It was during this time that Jackson and his classmates planted a fir tree on the school’s lawn, that tree now stands 28 feet tall.

This year, 28 years later, Jackson, 37 and his son Cole, 9, a fourth-grader also at Teague Park, planted another tree.
Helston Jackson, father of Scott and grandfather to Cole, and custodian at the elementary school was responsible for attaining the new tree and assisted with the planting.
