Caribou Fire/Ambulance Chief Roy E. Woods has announced that, as in most other government buildings, the department has had to resort to better security measures. “This department has full-time employees who live in this building on 24-hour shifts,” stated Chief Woods, “along with personal effects, we also have other items which we feel the need to protect.”
“We want our citizens to know that these safety measures, in no way imply that we do not allow visitors,” continued Chief Woods, “we will continue to welcome visitors and guests as well as give tours of our facility. The only difference will be that all guests and visitors will be accompanied by our employees.”
Chief Woods also remarked, “We would like to thank County Glass of Presque Isle, for the glass donation made for our lobby.”
