Bishop Richard J. Malone recently announced a number of clergy assignments throughout Maine, including here in Aroostook County.
Fr. Jean-Paul Labrie, will be the new pastor of the soon-to-be established Parish of the Precious Blood.  That parish will comprise the churches of Holy Rosary, Caribou; St. Denis, Fort Fairfield; and St. Louis, Limestone, where Fr. Labrie has been serving as pastor, along with St. Mary, Presque Isle; Sacred Heart, North Caribou; St. Joseph, Mars Hill; St. Mark, Ashland; and St. Theresa, Stockholm, where he has been serving as administrator. The parochial vicars who have been serving these churches, Fr. Raymond Morency and Fr. Aaron Damboise, will remain in that capacity for the new parish.
All of these assignments and parish changes take effect July 1.
