Cary Library summer reading program

The Cary Library summer reading program for 2009 will be “Be Creative at Your Library: Explore the Arts.” This year, the library will also offer a summer reading program for teens, “Express Yourself at Your Library through the Arts.”
“We hope to bring the many forms of art alive for people of all ages in our local communities,” said Librarian Linda Faucher. “Art is an outlet for creativity and ingenuity and through the use of books, speakers and demonstrations we will explore the many forms of art.”
The library was awarded a grant from Maine Nutrition Network to help us encourage nutrition and education for our summer program and staff will be promoting “Whole Grains Are Good for You” with programs each Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m.
Weekly drawings, prizes and creative expression are part of the fun planned for the summer program. Sign up will be the week of June 15 and the program will start June 22.
