CASWELL — Officially crowned during Saturday’s pageant, themed Disco Fever, Bailey St. Pierre is Junior Miss Caswell 2009 and Delaney Rossignol is Little Miss Caswell 2009. Delaney was up against stiff competition, as Stephanie Parent and Trinity St. Pierre proved to be talented youths as well.

Stephanie Parent wants to be a rock star certainly acted the part during her dance routine to the song “Rock Star” during the 2009 Little Miss Caswell pageant that took place May 30.
Though Bailey was unopposed for the crown, her performance, poise, and interviews showed the audience at the Dawn F. Barnes Elementary School that she is certainly fit to be queen.
Danielle Atcheson-Peterson served as Mistress of Ceremonies, introducing the contestants and interviewing the queens, including Little Miss Caswell 2008 Olivia Ellis.
The contestants began the evening with a dance, choreographed by Chelsey Cyr, to “YMCA,” and showcased their individual talents shortly after.
Trinity St. Pierre performed a well-choreographed hip-hop dance to “Pon de Replay.”
Stephanie Parent, informing the audience that she wanted to be a rock star, showed that she just might be one some day performing her energetic routine to the song “Rock Star.”
Little Miss Caswell 2009 Delaney Rossignol created a tropic atmosphere in the Dawn F. Barnes Elementary School gymnasium as she performed a baton routine to “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride.”
Bailey St. Pierre wowed the crowd with her dance routine to “Every Time We Touch” during the talent portion of the Junior Miss/Little Miss Caswell Pageant.
Though only two were crowned queens, every contestant performed wonderfully and it appeared that they were enjoying themselves.
The pageant was directed by Vicki St. Pierre and sponsored by the Caswell Recreation Department. Volunteer Board Director Sheila Caldwell and Volunteer Board Members Randy Caldwell, Vicki St. Pierre and Scott St. Pierre expressed their thanks to the Dan F. Barnes Elementary School, Gilbert King, Rowena Forbes, Lisa Caldwell, BLVD Graphix, Ryan Bell, Chelsey Cyr, Amanda Herbert, Danielle Paradis and Jessica Paradis.
