Stadler, Maxine L., 80, Braintree, Mass.; in Braintree, Mass., May 13, 2009. A memorial service is being planned for Sunday, June 7, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the Crossroads United Methodist Church in Sanford. Arrangements are under the direction of the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, Springvale.

 

    BRAINTREE, MASS. – Maxine L. Stadler, 80, died May 13, 2009, in Braintree, Massachusetts. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine on April 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Fred A. and Ila (Howlett) Sprague.  Image
    She was a resident of Acton for many years and also lived in Springvale. Maxine worked as a bookkeeper in various office settings, including Springvale National Bank and American Savings Bank. She attended Crossroads United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and puzzles.
    Maxine was predeceased by her husband, William and her sister, Geraldine Sprague. She is survived by her brother, Fred A. Sprague of Berwick; daughters, Lana Clough of Shapleigh and Lora Wooster of Quincy, MA; son, William Stadler of Trumbull, CT; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
    A memorial service is being planned for Sunday, June 7th, 2009, at 2 p.m., at the Crossroads United Methodist Church in Sanford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Waban Projects, Inc.  5 Dunaway Drive,  Sanford, ME  04073 or at www.waban.org.
