Gardner and Hersey promoted

    Katahdin Trust Company Senior Vice President of Retail Services, Bonnie Foster, has announced the promotions of Leslie M. Gardner to assistant vice president and retail lending supervisor and Patty A. Hersey to assistant vice president and corporate services officer.
    “The Bank is very proud to announce these well deserved promotions,” said Foster. “We are fortunate to have Leslie and Patty as members of Katahdin Trust Company’s team.”
Image      Gardner has over 12 years’ of experience with Katahdin Trust Company, joining in 1996 as receptionist for the Patten office. In 1998 she was named retail loan assistant and in 2001 was promoted to an officer position as retail lending supervisor.
    In her new position she will continue to be responsible for the general supervision of the retail loan assistants to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all retail loans and is further responsible for the efficient administration and effective management of the retail loan department while complying with all policies and procedures of the bank.
    A Sherman native, Gardner attained her A.S. in business and office management from Beal College in Bangor; General Financial Services Diploma from the Northern New England Center for financial training; attended the American Bankers Association National Compliance School and has been designated as a certified mortgage planner from Espleez, The Mortgage Training Academy in Atlanta, Ga.
    Gardner serves on the SAD 25 school board. She and her husband Jody reside in Patten with their two children, Jordyn and Brody.
Image     Hersey has over 12 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She joined the bank as electronic banking clerk in 1999, was promoted to supervisor of deposit operations in 2002, operations officer in 2006 and was appointed corporate services officer in 2007. In her new position she will continue to be responsible for selling and training of the bank’s corporate products and services such as business online banking, bill payment and eCheck Deposit.
    Hersey graduated from Houlton High School and attained her supervisory leadership certificate from University of Maine at Orono, General Financial Services and Bank Operations Diplomas from the Northern New England Center for Financial Training and is a graduate of the Northern New England School of Banking in Durham, N.H.
    Hersey is a volunteer for the Junior Achievement Program and has served as a committee member of Houlton High School Music Boosters and Out of the Darkness community walk for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She resides in Houlton with her husband Wendell and has three children; Nicholas, Mariah and Ian.
