The annual Gold Star Mother and Sister breakfast was held at the Lister/Knowlton VFW early Memorial Day morning. The event is in honor of those mothers and sisters who have lost loved ones to battle.

Major Brent Boyles, representing the National Guard, was the keynote speaker at the annual Monument Park ceremony following the Memorial Day parade. Boyles reminded those in attendance of the high cost of freedom.
