Rudy and Amos, both long-time residents at the Halfway Home Pet Rescue, look out their window into a new 4 foot by 8 foot outside exercise pen. The unit is covered at the top and allows safe access to the fresh air needed for healthy animals. It took the two cats just under one hour to venture outside and start playing with the toys and each other. Additional enjoyment was created by several neighboring squirrel and bird families. Trudy jumped at least five feet into the air in her excitement of having a closer view of these creatures. Both of these cats have great hunting instincts but are still shy with people. Rudy and Amos are adoptable free of charge to families who understand their need to be allowed to become comfortable slowly in new situations. Call Norma at 896-5650. Thank you to all who are bringing bottles and cans to 88 Bennett Drive Redemption for our program. Also for visiting our booth at the Valley Woodworking Shop on Route 1 across from the Crown Park Inn.
