Soap Box Derby registrations extended

Image    The Northern Maine Soap Box Derby Committee has extended their registration deadline to May 15.  
    The race is set for Saturday, June 20, at Derby Hill in Houlton’s Community Park.
     Youth must be eight years old by June 20 through 16 years to participate.
    The Derby will have the two divisions, Stock and Super Stock.
    The registration fee is $30 per racer. To register or for more information call Derby Director Dan Emerson at 532-6591 or e-mail the committee at rec.programs@houlton-maine.com.
     The committee will assist families in locating a car if needed.
   The derby will be conducting a Tech Day for racers on Saturday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Soap Box Derby Hill in Community Park.  In addition to the tech day, the hill will be available for racers to practice for the race.  On Sunday, May 31 there will be a practice race for all derby racers.
