Walking hours
    Walking hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center are as follows. Monday through Friday 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Men’s softball meeting
The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for men’s softball on Thursday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Any team wishing to participate in a league this season must have a representative at the meeting. For additional information please contact Matt at 493-4224.
Co-ed softball meeting
    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for co-ed softball on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Hershey Track and Field
    Hershey Track and Field program is for youths ages 9-14 and meets Mondays-Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. beginning April 27. This program introduces youths to the basic fundamentals of running, throwing and jumping. Boys and girls participating in this program may be eligible to move onto the regional finals. Pre-registration is required for this program.
Junior Olympic skills competition
    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is going to host a local jr. Olympics skills competition for ages 8-13 on Tuesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Practice dates are April 3, 10 and 17 from 3-4:30 p.m. Skills competition includes a basketball challenge, soccer challenge, tennis challenge and a track and field challenge. Local winners have a chance to compete in a Regional Competition held at Gentile Gymnasium at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Participants must meet the following age requirements: ages 8-9, born from 9/1/99 to 8/31/01; ages 10-11, born from 9/1/97 to 8/31/99; and ages 12-13, born 9/1/95 to 8/31/97. Pre-registration is required.
Wiffle ball tournament
    Join us on April 21 for a wiffle ball tournament against surrounding towns. This tournament is for youths in grades 4-6. Registration deadline is April 16. Pre-registration is required.
Aroostook wildlife refuge trip
    On Wednesday, April 22 we will take youths in grades 5-8 on a trip to Aroostook Wildlife Refuge. Did we mention that this will be done on skis? A BBQ lunch will be provided as well as fishing in the afternoon. Pre-registration is required. The fee for this trip is $10 per child.
Dodge ball tournament
    Join us for a dodge ball tournament for youths in grades 4-6 on Thursday, April 23. The tournament will be held in Presque Isle. Youths will be informed as to departure and return time when the playing schedule is released. Pre-registration is required.
Bradbury sugar shack trip
    Join us as we travel to Bradbury Sugar Shack in Bridgewater and learn about the fascinating industry of maple syrup production. On the way home we will stop at Big Rock and take a snow shoe tour. Lunch will be provided on the mountain. This trip is for youths in grades 5-8. The fee is $10 per youth. Pre-registration is required and the registration deadline is April 22.
