The local Girl Scouts chapter is holding a fun financial literacy weekend for girls, ages nine to 11, and their mothers, grandmothers or any other female role models who want to come. The Girls Investing in their Future Today (GIFT) program starts at 11a.m. on Saturday, April 4 and ends at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 5.
It's a sleepover weekend at the University of Maine Presque Isle, with lunch and dinner included on Saturday and brunch included on Sunday. The cost for the weekend is just $10 per pair, and scholarships are available. It's open to girls and moms across Aroostook.
