Mapleton pageant is Saturday

    MAPLETON – The Junior Miss and Miss Mapleton pageant will be held Saturday, April 4 at 7 p.m. at the Presque Isle High School auditorium.
    Competing for the Junior Miss crown include:
    • Naomi Lynn McEachern, 12, daughter of Bruce McEachern and Pamela Pendexter-McEachern. She will present a monologue entitled “A Doll’s Life.”

    • Emma Marie Langille, 11, daughter of Carroll and Jennifer Langille, who will perform a Celtic dance routine to “Mr. Trampest.”
    • Hannah Beverly Stoutamyer, 13, daughter of Adam and Kristi Stoutamyer, who will sing “Maybe” from the musical “Annie.”
    • Brooke Ashley Lavway, 14, daughter of Terry and Lynnelle Lavway. She will sing “Only Hope” by Mandy Moore.
    • Cassandra Buck, 12, daughter of Andrew and Angela Buck, who will be singing “Anyway” by Martina McBride.
    Vying for the Miss Mapleton crown are:
    • Paige Ann McEachern, 18, daughter of Bruce McEachern and Pamela Pendexter-McEachern. She will play “Brian’s Song” on the piano.
    • Katelynn Sarah Hartt, 18, daughter of Alton and Marcia Hartt. She will play “Through the Eyes of Love” on the piano.
    • Bethany Lord, 16, daughter of Jeff Lord and Elizabeth Brewer, who will sing “I Can Hear the Bells” from the musical “Hairspray.”
    2008 Junior Miss Mapleton Sarah McEachern and 2008 Miss Mapleton Hannah Cheney will also be performing. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from any contestant or at the door. The pageant is sponsored by the Mapleton Ladies Extension.
