Five young Caribou ladies will compete for the title of 2009 Little Miss Caribou, on Saturday, April 4, at the Caribou Performing Arts Center beginning at 7 p.m.

These five young ladies will be center stage at the Caribou Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 4, at 7 p.m. when the Lister/Knowlton VFW Auxiliary presents the 2009 Little Miss Caribou Pageant. The five title contenders are, from left, Kyra Thibeault, Meagan Dube, Michelle Nichols, Hope Shea and Cora Crandall. In front is Little Miss Caribou 2008, Kyleigh DeMerchant. Meagan Dube, the 8-year-old daughter of Ed and Theresa Dube will perform “Ribbon to Reflection” for her talent presentation.
Seven-year-old Cora Crandall is the daughter of Kerry and Jennifer Crandall. She will be performing a dance routine to “Friend like Me.”
Hope Shea, the 8-year-old daughter of Mark and Becky Shea has chosen to dance to “Dancing Queen,” as her talent performance.
Michelle Nichols will perform a tap dance routine to, “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” during the talent portion of the annual pageant. She is the 9-year-old daughter of Tracey and Peggy Nichols.
Kyra Thibeault is the 9 -year-old daughter of Rick and Beth Thibeault. For her talent she will perform a dance routine to “Part of Your World,” from the “Little Mermaid.”
Little Miss Caribou 2008, Kyleigh DeMerchant, along with the five title contenders will perform, “It’s a Small World,” as the opening dance number for the evening. This number was choreographed by Abby and Paige Small.
Other special entertainment slated throughout the event is to include: Little Miss Caribou 2008, Kyleigh DeMerchant, Jr. Miss Teen Regan Buck and Miss Teen Caribou Brianna Gorence.
The Little Miss Caribou Pageant is sponsored by the Lister Knowlton VFW Auxiliary under the direction of Cheryl Bossie.
Tickets are $6 and may be purchased in advance from any of the five contestants. Proceeds from this pageant benefit the VFW Auxiliary Cancer Aid and Research program.
The theme for this year’s pageant is, “It’s a Small World.” Sandi Bouchard will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
