INTIMATE MOMENT SPANS GENERATIONS — Wearing her tiara and pearls, Bessie Stockford celebrated her 105th birthday last Saturday, at Madigan House in Houlton where she has been living since December. Some 40 family members and friends brought gifts, flowers, cards and good wishes to the party that featured a large sheet cake decorated with pink icing. Here, she shares a few special thoughts with great, great nephew, 7-month-old Daniel Nason who seemed quite intent on what she had to say.
IT’S WONDERFUL BEING 90 – Wishes came from far and wide for Kay Bell, on Sunday, as she celebrated 90 wonderful years. An open house was held at the Aroostook Historical and Art Museum. She spent time talking and reminiscing, laughing and telling stories with her friends.
