WINNERS – David Ngo, right, plays 13-year-old Alex Casillas at the Monday chess club at Houlton High School. Thirty players showed up in Orono for the St. Valentine Chess Tournament last month, with Ngo and Rudy Ponder representing Houlton High School. In the 14-year-old division, Ngo won first place with a fantastic three wins, while Ponder won third with two wins.
