You won’t want to miss this one! It’s sure to be a hilarious night of fun and laughs as eleven Houlton high school senior boys vie for the coveted title of “Mr. Houlton”. Sponsored by the HHS class of 2009, this event will be held this Saturday, March 28, at 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
The pageant will be comprised of four segments, including sportswear, during which the contestants will model a stylish outfit which they have accessorized with their own well-honed sense of personal style.
Following this will be talent time! This will be a treat folks, as many of these young men have some serious talents to showcase.
The next event will be the evening wear category, and you’ll be wowed by the beauties as they parade before their adoring audience.
To wrap up the competition, each contestant must endure an interview during which they will be asked to answer some pretty tough questions. How will they respond? You’ll have to be in the crowd to hear their impromptu responses!
Judging this much-anticipated pageant will be local celebrities, Paul Cleary of the Houlton Town Council, Lori Weston of the Greater Houlton Chamber of Commerce and Nancy Ketch representing the state of Maine (revenue service) and Tim Tweedie, former Mr. Mars Hill. Emcee Paula Gendron will keep you informed and will likely act as crowd control agent, holding back the fans who will undoubtably rush the stage.
Our charming contestants include: Ashir Abouleish, James Bates, Brandyn Berry, Patrick Longstaff, Lowell Matthews, Brandon McGuire, Taylor Martin, Rudy Ponder, Caleb Richardson, Isaac St. John and Robbie Stairs … you’ve gotta love these guys!
