Would you please publish an article telling your readers, in a balanced way, what is happening with Caribou Pet Rescue? I have been reading all of your articles and letters about CPR in recent months. I am sure I can speak for many people in the community in saying I am very sad it seems to be closing and I am confused about the reasons. Paula De Merchant’s letter didn’t do anything to ”set the record straight” in my opinion. It left me wanting. more than ever, to learn the whole story. It seems to me that there should be some way to resolve the problems and keep this much needed care for animals available. Closure seems like a short-sighted over-reaction.
Many of us have contributed time and funds and energy to CPR. It has taken much community work to get this organization to where it is. Couldn’t CPR itself be rescued?
