MILLINOCKET — Michael Cesare, a 16-year-old student at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, died as the result of a tragic incident, Dec.18, involving fumes from a family plow truck.     Cesare, at home with his family, during Christmas break from school, was found by his parents at approximately 11 a.m. in the garage  on Ambejejus Lake according to Lt. Robert Young of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.
Apparently the young man had been attempting to warm up an elder plow truck in a small garage when he apparently became ill from the truck’s fumes, Young stated.
Young said the parents, Anthony  and Ramona Cesare had said the truck did not run well unless the operator pumped the gas pedal, which Cesare apparently was doing when he was overcome by fumes.
Even though the garage door had to be opened to gain entrance into the building, Young also stated it appeared that the young man became unconscious, falling upon the steering wheel. Which activated the remote control in his pocket which closed the automatic garage door.
“There was nothing to indicate it was anything but a tragic accident,” Young said.
