What does your Chamber of Commerce do for you?

To the editor:
As we end the year, I’d like to take a bit of time to highlight what the Caribou Chamber of Commerce & Industry does, above and beyond what levels of service you might expect from a Chamber of Commerce. Our Chamber mails out between 1,000 and 1,800 information/relocation packages every year. They’re great tools which help market our community, and have all sorts of information about why Caribou is the “Community of Choice” to live, work and do business in.     Our Chamber also mails out approximately 1,000 quarterly newsletters consistently, to all Caribou businesses and throughout the County. They’re great marketing tools with loads of helpful information in them. They are an inexpensive way to help advertise to all the other businesses in the area as well as a great source of information for what is going on in and around our community.
Our Chamber has many more “member benefits” too: from UPS shipping to the Collect a Check program, the services and programs they provide members is unsurpassed in its depth and scope of involvement in supporting the Caribou area businesses. With Aroostook SCORE, and their asset base through their respected loan portfolio, they have extensive resources available for small businesses as well.
Also, you know, when the CCC&I represents Caribou somewhere, they go big: at the Light Parade in Presque Isle this last month, we took top prize for the nonprofit float – and the neighbors are still talking about the mittens we gave out (Thank you RSVP) and the confetti launchers!
I encourage you to stop in and talk to the staff anytime this New Year, they’re always friendly and happy to help. From the Caribou Chamber of Commerce & Industry, wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and joyous New Year. Thank you all for your continued support.
