MILL POND STUDENTS DONATE —Hodgdon’s fourth grade students initiated a coin drive at their school during the month of November and collected $240 for the Houlton Humane Society. Through lessons planned by their teachers students were made aware of the importance of giving and the need to volunteer. The students and their teachers, Brenda Adams and Aimee Goff delivered the check to volunteer Rachel Tweedie shown on the right. The students toured the facility; learning about the care of the animals, items that are needed and how many hands it takes to provide care. Some students are hoping Santa will leave a cat or dog under the tree for them.
