Temperatures in the mid 30’s with light winds and snow packed wet roads greeted the 53 runners and 9 walkers who participated in the 23rd annual Cary Medical Center Turkey Trot 5K Road Race held Saturday, Nov. 29 at Caribou High School. Spencer McElwain of Caribou led the men’s field with a time of 17:56 while Angela Ewings of Littleton led the women with a time of 21:30. Age division winners were Christian Sleeper (21:15) and Elizabeth Wright (25:53) in the under 19 category; Emerson Wright (19:34) and Susan Plissey (22:25) in the 19-39 category; Jeff Ashby (18:20) and Linda Mountain (22:43) in the Masters division.
Awards were given at the post-race ceremonies, which featured turkey topped pizza, courtesy of Reno’s Pizza in Caribou.
