EPCO annual Harvest Party
The Easton Parent Community Organization (EPCO) held its annual harvest party on the evening of Oct. 18. Well over 100 children attended the event, along with family members and some out-of-town friends. While the admission was free, partygoers were asked to donate a non-perishable item to the local food bank. The EPCO collected a number of items toward this worthwhile cause. Events children were treated to included trips to the bouncy house, balloon darts and a number of ring toss games. They were thrilled to see some new games as well as the return of some old games, including the donut-eating contest. The biggest hit of all may have been the fishing game, where all sorts of fun prizes were caught! Plenty of food was on hand for everyone, as well as a lot of candy for the children.
A parade of costumes took center stage and the winners were chosen by a panel of experienced costume judges. Winners included: Funniest – Wilder Brewer as a washing machine; Scariest – Gavin Pangburn as a green skeleton; Cutest – Brenna Maxwell as an adorable pirate; Most Colorful – Caitlyn Monroe as a gothic girl; and Most Unique – Delaney Leach as a bathtub. A 50/50 raffle was held, which was won by Debra Tompkins. Congratulations to all! Many thanks to those businesses that generously donated to this event, without whom it would not have been possible: Wal-Mart, Huber Wood Products, McCain Foods, J&B York Painting, The Nylander Museum, Stewart Farms, Pizza Hut, Burger King, Arby’s, Subway, McDonald’s, TAMC, Advantage Gas and Country Kitchen.
