PRESQUE ISLE – Sheila P. Metrick-Carson, 53, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 26, 2008, at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Presque Isle on July 10, 1955, the daughter of Simon and Pearl (Clair) Metrick. 
Sheila worked at the Cooperative Extension Service. She loved her cats, and loved children. She was greatly loved by her family, and they will truly miss her.
She is survived by a step- daughter, Heidi Manter and her husband, Shawn of Caribou; two sisters, Sandra Henderson and her husband, Richard of Presque Isle, Sharon Jensen of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kayla, Kameron and Kerrigan Manter; five nieces, Lisa Moran, Lauri Moran, Lynnae Davis, Kelly Garrison and her husband Aaron, and Kim Allen and her husband Chris; eight great- nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Nashali Parks, Mattea Davis, Joseph, Christen and Mason Allen, Noah and Laura Garrison; a special friend, Sue Delano of Presque Isle; many friends, and her kitty cat Asia.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service was held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating.
