Eleanor “Lorraine” Seward

    Houlton – Eleanor "Lorraine" Seward, 96, died Nov. 27, 2008, at a local healthcare facility. She was born March 26, 1912, at Caribou, the daughter of William and Sarah (Gray) Smith.
    Lorraine attended Corner Stone Baptist Church. She loved dancing and country music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.
    Lorraine is survived by her son, Herbert Seward of Port Ritchie, FL; her daughter, Hope Anderson of Linneus; 15 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; several great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, George A. Seward; her son, George A. Seward, Jr.; and her daughter, Audrey Seward.
    Friends called Monday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Tuesday 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Chester Ammons officiating. Gifts may be made in Lorraine’s memory to the charity of one’s choice, c\o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, 04730.
