Joe Cheney, treasurer of the Caribou Lions Club recently presented Joyce Knorr, Aroostook County branch manager of the American Red Cross, Pine Tree Chapter, with a donation in appreciation of the work the Red Cross has done during the past year, providing services to the area. The gift will provide financial assistance regarding local disaster response and preparedness for the upcoming winter season. The donation was made possible through proceeds raised by the Lions Club during this summer in conjunction with the ever popular Caribou Lions Bean-Hole-Bean suppers.
