To the editor:
It has been my pleasure to run a clean, honest campaign for State Representative for District 5 and to have spent all of my Maine Clean Election Act campaign funds here in Presque Isle. Who says we can’t conduct our business locally? I want to thank all the people who voted for me. A special thank you to the Underwood, Summerson and Mosher families and to the Richards, Carson and Langley families. Thank you to Bruce and Flash, Von, Joanna and Marcy. These are the people that pulled together in action to see me through. Without their encouragement and support I would not have made it through the year. Thank you to Richard Scott and David Steele for running ballots. Thank you Sen. Paul Davis, Christie-lee McNally, Gavin O’Brien, and Josh Tardy from Augusta for information and answering questions.
My “door-to-door” campaign has been a personal eye-opening education. I have met a community ready for action and for our elected official to take a firm stance for “us” here in “The County”. Best wishes Mike.
