Party
A special retirement party was held on Thursday, Nov. 6, for Bernard Hussey at the Easton Town Office. Many people came to wish him a restful and uncomplicated retirement in the years ahead. Wanna bet he’ll be doing something still for the people in Easton in his spare time? Bernard is not one to stay idle even if he is in his late 80s. We wish him well. His son, Bernard II, his wife, of Ellsworth, daughter, Nichole, and her son, were all here to help him celebrate.
Sympathy
Word has been received of the unexpected death of Anne Marie Hayden Bradley who passed away at the Eastern Maine Medical Center on Oct. 26 after a week’s illness. Anne was born on July 22, 1941, in Easton, the daughter of the late Bea and Kenneth Hayden. Anne is the first of the 14 Hayden children to pass away. She grew up in Easton and graduated from Easton High School. She lived in Presque Isle, working for Burrell’s until her retirement. She loved her children and her nieces and nephews, e-mailing and sending them goodies often. Everyone loved her strawberry jam and the fact that she knew every useless fact that anyone would like to know. She is survived by: sons – Raphael; and Douglas, and his wife, Dawn Bradley; and daughters – Tracy and Holly Bradley; and grandchildren – Kris, Casey, Ashley, Shane, Hayden and Reginald; great grandchildren – Tristyn and Caidyn.
She will be lovingly and sadly missed by her siblings: Charlotte and Dennis Dyer, Myrna Gardner, Jerry and Sally Hayden, all of Presque Isle; Jim Hayden, of Great Bend, Kansas; Kenneth and Rolande Hayden, of Jacksonville, N.C.; Stephen Hayden, of Searsmont; Gloria and Keith Whitsel, of Grand Prairie, Texas; Elsie and Ethan Kelly, of Detroit; Cindy and Allen Dunehew, of St. Louis, Mo.; Becky and Tim McGrath, of Carmel; Debi and Mark Hews, of Poland; Patty and Jim Reed, of Wade; and Melanie and Bob Kaiser, of Mapleton; and their families. All of the brothers and sisters were able to visit with Anne sometime during the week she was hospitalized. At her request, there was no funeral.
