Mars Hill & Easton – Mrs. Ruth M. Lint, 74, wife of Maurice B. Lint, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at a Bangor healthcare facility following an extended illness. She was born October 16, 1934, in Bridgewater, the daughter of Clarence L. and Mildred (Ewings) MacPherson.
Ruth was a graduate of the Bridgewater High School, Class of 1954, and was married to Maurice B. Lint on October 20, 1972. She was a member of T.O.P.S. at both the Mars Hill and Easton Chapters. Ruth was a devoted member of the Easton Pentecostal Church and greatly enjoyed painting and knitting.
Mrs. Lint was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her husband of 36 years, Maurice B. Lint of Mars Hill; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard A. and Diane MacPherson of Evansville, IN; two daughters and son-in-law, Nina R. and Ernest Ladner of Bowdoin, Kimberly Cumming of Richmond; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Jeffrey Maurice and Wanda Lint of New Denmark, N.B., Todd Bliss John and Teresa Lint of South Pittsburg, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Betty MacPherson of Bellingham, MA, the Rev. Howard and Jean MacPherson of Bridgewater; one sister and brother-in-law, Reta and Harlan Hersey of Bridgewater; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including a special uncle, the Rev. Clair MacPherson of Waxahachie, TX.
Friends called Friday, October 31, 2008, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Easton Pentecostal Church, 67 Bangor Road, Easton. The funeral service was conducted Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Easton Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Andrew DeRier officiating. Interment was held after at the Pine Tree Cemetery, Easton. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held at the Easton Pentecostal Church after the interment service. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Lint to the Ronald McDonald House, 654 State Street, Bangor, 04401. Envelopes will be available at the church.
