Golfers play well at state meet

    Five Houlton High School golfers competed in the Individual State Class B Golf Tournament last weekend at Natanis Golf Course in Vassalboro.
      Quinn Allen of Lake Region won the Class B title with a score of 75, as it was a close play on a demanding Tomahawk course.
    Ian Gervais of Houlton shot a 79, tying for sixth place, while older brother Porter was three strokes behind with an 82 to tie for ninth. Dylan Flewelling carded an 84 and Nick Chase recorded a 94 for Houlton.
    In the girl’s division, Nikki Eastman tied for seventh with a score of 91.
    Another Aroostook County golfer making the top 10 was David Dubois of  Southern Aroostook. Dubois competed in Class C and tied  for seventh on the Arrowhead course at Natanis, scoring a 79.
