The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will be co-hosting a pumpkin carving competition this Saturday at the Wintergreen Arts Center in the Aroostook Centre Mall. The event runs from noon-2 p.m. and there is no admission fee.
Pumpkins will be available for purchase for painting and carving, and people may also bring their own pumpkins.
There will also be refreshments for sale. Prizes will be awarded for most creative, best overall family effort, scariest, and most dazzling.
