Presque Isle Country Club has announced its complete list of 2008 winners for the golf season.
The club champions are: Hunter Flynn, junior-junior; Evan Waddell, junior; Francine Soucy, ladies’ A flight; Monica Bearden, ladies’ B flight; Jane Foster, ladies’ C flight; Francine Soucy, senior; Ralph Michaud, men’s A flight match play; Dan Hotham, men’s A flight medal play; Bill Ireland, men’s B flight; Matt McCarthy, men’s C flight;
Hotham, senior; Richard Maynard, super senior.
Leanne York won the ladies’ President’s Cup and Larry Rouse was the men’s winner.
Scott Cray, Sr. and Jim Humphrey took first place in the Memorial Tournament.
In the parent/child tournament, Alan and Josh Gordon won the junior-junior flight, while Bryce and Evan Waddell won the junior flight.
Taking low gross in the Husband & Wife Tournament were Ed and Kathy Maynard, while David and Tammy Wyman were low net.
Mileah Brown and Darlene Higgins teamed to win the Ladies Twilight League, while Frank Bemis and Mike Michaud captured the title in the Men’s Twilight League.
Most improved golfer awards went to Bearden for the ladies and Shane Mullen for men.
There were four holes-in-one hit at the club. Anita Duprey on hole No. 16 July 17, Dora Leavitt on hole No. 17 Aug. 18, Brad Young on hole No. 16 Aug. 29 and Ron McAtee on hole No. 1 Sept. 19.
