Madison Bearden’s goal in the second minute of the game gave the Tornado the early lead in their clash with the Blizzard, with Elise Guerrette picking up the assist. Yessenia Vilar and Machayla Laplante created some great scoring opportunities for the Blizzard, but they couldn’t get past the great defensive play of Taylor Billings and Amanda Wells of the Tornado. The teams headed to the half with the Tornado holding onto the slim 1-0 advantage.     Brittany Warner tied the game up for the Blizzard close to the midpoint of the second half. Amy Seeley sent across a perfect pass to Warner and Warner drilled the shot into the back of the net. The Tornado bounced right back, taking the lead back a minute later. Bearden once again found the back of the net, this time with Grace Player picking up the assist. Neither team could get the ball past goalies Emily Sjoberg and Hannah Chalou, and the game ended with the Tornado up 2-1.
Casey Lovely scored the eventual game winning goal on a breakaway to give the Hurricane the 4-2 win over the Galaxy in each side’s season finale. Emma Beaulieu put the Hurricane up five minutes into the game when she blistered a loose ball into the back of the net. The Galaxy tied it up midway through the half thanks to a great hustle goal from Mia Piro. Sarah Morneault put the Hurricane up just before the half when she picked off a pass and tucked the ball just inside the post.
Piro struck again early in the second half to tie the game up, dribbling the ball the length of the field and rocking the net with a thunderous shot. Lovely’s goal came halfway through the second period, taking a long clearing pass from Breanna Byrd to the goal. Morneault added an insurance goal inside the last two minutes of play to seal the deal for the Hurricane. Skyler McAtee and Katrina Dakin played tremendously on offense and defense for the Galaxy in defeat. Abigail L Shaw made multiple saves for the Hurricane in goal in the second half.
The Tornado topped the Blizzard by a score of 2-1 for the second time in as many weeks as both teams closed out their seasons. Following last week’s script, Madison Bearden got the scoring going early for the Tornado off an Elise Guerrette assist. The rest of the first half was a battle for field position as Emily Wheaton and Heather Kirk of the Blizzard were in constant battle with Marisa Sloan and Natalie Bates of the Tornado to get to the other team’s goal. The two sides headed to intermission with the Tornado up 1-0.
Bearden and Grace Player hooked up for the eventual game-winner eight minutes into the second half. Player played the ball across heavy traffic in front of the goal to Bearden, who hammered the ball home. Brittany Warner cut the deficit in half off a stolen clearing pass, but the Blizzard couldn’t muster any more offensive chances.

Alex Brewer took the ball up the left side of the field and unleashed a blast from 18 yards out to stake the Drillers to the 1-0 lead over the Crunch. Jordan Bonville and Alex Tilley worked the ball up the right side to get the Crunch on the board, but they ran into the solid defense of Ryan Cochran and Grant Stewart. Micah Taubin broke through for the Crunch, but his run was stopped thanks to some great hustle by Griffin Guerrette.
With the start of the second half came similar play, with both teams working to get the ball out of the middle of the field. Josiah Morse and Jonathan Henderson of the Crunch and Drew Henderson and RJ Gross of the Drillers played extremely well as both teams battled for ball control. The Drillers were able to add to their lead when Guerrette cut off a clearing pass and hammered the ball into the back of the net. The Crunch cut the lead in half when Morse sprinted down the field, gathered up a misplayed ball from the Drillers defense, and smoked a shot just out of the reach of Stewart. Neither team could mount much offensively for the rest of the game, and the Drillers took the 2-1 decision.
The Drillers wrapped up their season Tuesday afternoon on a high note, scoring four second half goals to pick up the 5-0 win over the Sounders. Griffin Guerrette scored the lone goal in the first half off an RJ Gross assist. Gross settled a clearing punt and threaded the needle with a pass right to the waiting Guerrette.
Guerrette picked up his second goal of the game 30 seconds into the second half, this time converting off an Alex Brewer throw in. The Sounders worked the ball up the field off the ensuing kick off, looking to cut into the Drillers’ lead. Bradley Kinney and Issac Devine used some fantastic passing to get into the Sounders’ offensive third. Unfortunately that’s as far as they’d get. The Drillers cleared the ball up to Brewer, who used some spectacular moves to create space and cream the ball into the back of the net.
The Sounders countered with some nifty passing between Colin Daigle and Connor McManus, but Gavin Kelley and Gage Young of the Drillers quickly turned away the opponents’ chances. Brewer added a second goal minutes later, intercepting a goal kick and setting the nylon on fire with a rocket shot. Gross’s long clearing pass found a wide open Brewer at midfield, leading to Brewer’s third goal of the game.
Neither the Blast or Crunch could crack into the scoring column in their season ending showdown as their match ended in a 0-0 tie. The play was fast and furious as both sides made multiple offensive runs deep into the opponent’s territory. Alex Tilley and Jordan Bonville paced the Crunch on offense, and Wyatt Kennedy and Jake Kinney led many of the Blast attacks. The Blast got a fine defensive showing from Tyler Levesque and Denny Young, while the Crunch back line was solidified by Micah Taubin and Chase Levasseur.
The Missiles and Sounders squared off in the final game of the season Friday afternoon. The two sides played even over the first 20 minutes, leading to a 0-0 tie at the half. Jack Bonville and Kyle Plourde created some great scoring opportunities for the Sounders, but the defense of Jack Beaulieu and Carter Trombley could not be broken through.
The Missiles were finally able to put a crooked number on the board early into the second half. Carter Bruce sent a booming kick half the length of the field to Thomas Patenaude. Patenaude used a burst of speed to elude the defenders and hammer the ball into the net. Khasen Lowe added an insurance goal late in the game to help the Missiles to the 2-0 victory. The Missiles were also helped by the hard play of Marcus Ouellette and Josh Baldwin, while Bradley Kinney and Chandler Paradis demonstrated great hustle for the Sounders.

The Rapids and Clash met up in a thrilling game as both teams battled for playoff positioning. The Clash got on the board first courtesy of a Hilary Boucher goal. Amanda Palmer gathered a loose ball in front of the goal and slipped the ball through the crowd to a wide open Boucher. Boucher hammered the ball home to put the Clash up three minutes into the game. The Rapids struck back five minutes later. After withstanding another Clash flurry, the ball was cleared out to Rapids’ striker Angela Hallowell. Hallowell broke to the goal and sent a laser of a shot into the net.
After the early rush, the defenses of both teams solidified. Neither team could find the back of the net again as the teams ended with a 1-1 tie. Shantel Seeley and Kelsey Sandbeck were outstanding on defense for the Clash in front of keeper Miranda Jandreau. Jandreau made several spectacular saves, including saving a penalty shot. The Rapids’ back line was headed by Kalie Ward, Regan Nelson, and Olivia Goulet, who helped their keeper Jessica Cameron.
The Mutiny and Crew met up in a game with scoring in the first minute, scoring in the last minute, and plenty of action in between. Renee Browning put the Crew on the board just 15 seconds into the game, popping in a ball that was bouncing around the goal box. The pace was fast and furious from that point on from both sides. The Mutiny were trying to even up the score and the Crew was looking to build on their lead. The scoreboard stayed the same through all the chances, including both teams having penalty shots, thanks to terrific team defensive play.
Ashley Trask, Shaye McHatten, and Mandy Graham gave Mutiny net minder Michelle Cawley tremendous support, while Crew keepers Cameo Madore and Miranda Flannery got defensive help from Mackenzie Pelkey, Tori Harvath, and Taylor Williams. The Crew were able to tack on an insurance goal with just 40 seconds left to play. Alyssa Sweeney lofted in a perfectly placed corner kick right to the feet of teammate Rachel Maxwell. Maxwell settled the ball and neatly tucked it into the back corner of the net, giving the Crew the 2-0 lead they would finish the game with.
Miranda Jandreau’s strong play in goal helped the Clash to the 2-0 win over the Mutiny. Jandreau’s efforts were aided by the back line play of Alisa Brewer and Jessica Baldwin. The trio of Shaye McHatten, Ashley Trask, and Kerrigan LeBlanc kept constant pressure on the Clash defense. Amanda Palmer popped in a goal in each half for the Clash. The first goal came off a penalty shot, while the second came unassisted off a turnover in front of the Mutiny goal. Morgan Wilcox and Hilary Boucher also contributed some fine midfield play for the Clash.
The Rapids and Crew wrapped up the regular season with a war between the trenches. The Rapids were on the offensive early as Amy Trask and Michaela Dumais were able to sneak behind the Crew defense. Luckily Crew keeper Cameo Madore was up to the task, making several key saves. Madore was also helped by the defensive trio of Alyssa Sweeney, Taylor Williams, and Mackenzie Pelkey. The Crew tried to counterattack, but Angela Hallowell and Michaela Dube were outstanding controlling the midfield for the Rapids. The teams headed to intermission deadlocked at 0-0. The second half followed the script of the first, with the defenses getting the better of the offenses. The two teams ended in a 0-0 tie.
Final standings: Crew (7-1-1),  Mutiny (3-4-1), Rapids (2-4-2), Clash (2-5-2).
