Laura Lee Cowett and Jody Franklin Doughty, both of Caribou, were married June 7, 2008 at Limestone Methodist Church, Limestone. The reception was located at the University of Maine at Presque Isle in the Campus Center.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Bonnie Cowett and the late Larry Cowett, of Presque Isle. She is a graduate of UMPI and works for DFAS in Limestone.
The groom is the son of Donn and Priscilla Doughty, of Fort Fairfield. He is a graduate of UMPI and works for U.S. Cellular in Presque Isle.
The members of the wedding were as follows: Pastor Ellen Cleaves, minister; Lynn Madore of Skowhegan, maid of honor; Elizabeth Trubee of Troy, Ohio, matron of honor; Sarah Demerchant of Presque Isle, jr. bridesmaid; Randy Davenport of Presque Isle, best man; Robert Novak of Fort Fairfield, groomsman; Donn Doughty of Fort Fairfield, Usher; Jordan Delong of Mars Hill, flower girl; and Benjamin Delong of Mars Hill, ring bearer.
The couple took a Caribbean Cruise to enjoy their honeymoon.
