County values and common sense

To the editor:
Mike Willette of Presque Isle is currently seeking the Maine House of Representatives District 5 seat for the Democratic Party. Having been associated with Mr. Willette for a number of years on both a professional and a personal level, I can unequivocally state that Mr. Willette is indeed the right man for this job.     Many difficult and perhaps life-changing decisions will need to be made during this next legislative session. His background as a combat veteran, as a well respected and experienced educator, and as a local businessman have given him the seasoning and experience that is needed in Augusta during these unsettled times. His commitment to the county, and to the people who live, work and raise their children here, is second to none. He understands your dreams, your hopes, and your fears. He lives them, the same as you, every day. He is a family man himself.
Mr. Willette has the courage to stand up to those who do not have our best interests at heart, the foresight to recognize the opportunities that are available for his constituents, and the intelligence and drive to bring forth the representation that is so desperately needed by this area in Augusta. Indeed there could be no better slogan than the one Mr. Willette has already chosen, “County Values and Common Sense” — it’s what we need.
