Image    Caribou – Darrell Scott, 90, died September 23, 2008, at his Caribou residence. He was born in Fort Fairfield May 26, 1918, the son of John and Flossie (Grass) Scott. Mr. Scott served with the US Navy during WWII, was a life member of the Lister-Knowlton Post 9389 VFW as well as a member of the Henry B. Pratt Post 15 American Legion. He was employed as the manager of the Caribou Steam Laundry for many years and was  a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland. He  was also a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.
    He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Eric and Mary Ann Scott of Caribou; two daughters Bonita Smith and Earlene Langlais both of Caribou; four grandchildren: Andy Scott and his wife Kelley, Vicki Coppick, Julie Gage and her husband Adam and Jason Turner; six great-grandchildren: Alex and Austin Scott, Caleb Gordon, Olivia and Sadie Gage and Alex Coppick; several step-grand- and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew Ronald Scott of Caribou and a special niece Gail Harris of New York and a sister-in-law, Pauline Hanscomb of Perth N.B. Mr. Scott was predeceased by his wife, Marie (Cyr) Scott in 1988.
    Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2008, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Rosser, officiating. Interment took place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
