XC teams place 4th

    The Presque Isle girls and boys turned in fourth-place performances at the Caribou Relays held Saturday.
    The format of the race pitted every team’s No. 1 runner against each other on the 2.73-mile course, followed by the No. 2s all the way down to the No. 7s.     The Wildcats’ highest placement on the girls’ side belonged to Julia Brown and Jaylee Fox, who were both third in races six and seven, respectively. Hallie Bartlett was fourth in the fourth race, as was Jerica Fox in race five. Krista Buck was fifth in the second race, Elizabeth Wright fifth in the third race and Alecia Palmer seventh in the first one.
    For boys, Jason Johnson, Brandon Hafford and Logan Thibeau were all fourth in their respective races (first, third and sixth). Ethan York, Matt Eager, Jesse Rochester and Alex Carter placed fifth in their events (races seven, five, four and two).
