REDY, the mascot for the 5 2 1 0 Let’s Go Program, will meet and greet students at Houlton Elementary and Houlton Southside School on their way to school at 7:45 a.m. today.
REDY will be at the crosswalk between Houlton Southside and Houlton Elementary School on South Street promoting Walking Wednesday and Celebrate Harvest.
In order for students to be healthy, “The 5 2 1 0, Let’s Go Program” stands for the following: 5 — Eat at least five fruits and vegetables daily; 2 — Limit TV or computer use to two hours or less a day; 1 — Get one hour of physical activity every day and 0 — Drink less sugar and try water and low fat milk.
“The 5 2 1 0, Let’s Go Program” is sponsored by SAD 29 Coordinated School Health Program and Healthy Aroostook, Healthy Maine Partnership.
