There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Mapleton United Baptist Church to register any girls interested in joining Daisy Girl Scouts. Girls must live in Mapleton, Chapman or Castle Hill, and currently be in kindergarten or first grade. There is a nominal registration fee due at the meeting.
Other topics of discussion will include a tentative calendar of events for the year, uniform and book requirements, and the troop’s first fund-raiser information. Troop is limited to a specific number of girls. Please contact Jennifer Buzza at 760-9115 with any questions.

Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society
The Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society’s fall fund-raiser will be held Sunday, Sept. 21 from 2-4 p.m. There will be entertainment by Wendell Hudson and Friends, along with pie, ice cream and coffee for only $3. There will be door prizes, along with a 50/50 raffle. Come and join them for an afternoon of family fun and help support your local Society by keeping your community hall running. The United Methodist Church will be having its fourth annual Fun and Fund Sale at the Church on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A garage sale, food sale, luncheon, games and activities, movie and concessions will be all happening for the day. Come and enjoy the activities.

The Mapleton Chapman Castle Hill Senior Citizens meets every Monday – except the fifth Monday – at Mapletree Estates. All are welcome.
