Walking hours
    The Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center is open to walkers Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. Fourteen and a half laps equals one mile.
Soccer grades 3-4 game schedule
    On Wednesday, Sept. 17, the Revolution will play the Rapids at 6 p.m.
    On Monday, Sept. 22, the Fire and the Revolution will go at it at 6 p.m., with the Galaxy taking on the Metrostars at 7 p.m.
    All games are played at the Teague Park Field.
Soccer grades 5-6 game schedule
    Liverpool will square off against Manchester United at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, while Arsenal and West Ham United will meet in the 7 p.m. match.
    Contests on Monday, Sept. 22 will see Liverpool against Chelsea at 6 p.m. and Arsenal against Manchester United at 7 p.m.
    All games take place at the Soucie Sports Complex on Sincock Street.
Take it Outside Senior Series
    The recreation department will offer a Take It Outside Senior Series for adults ages 55 and older. The first of this series is a trip on Sept. 23 to the MIZPAH Tranquility Center in Grand Isle and the Mount Carmel Cultural Center in Lille. The fee is $11 per person, which includes transportation and lunch. Pre-registration is required and the trip is limited to the first 14 to sign up.
    On Sept. 30, an interpretative tour of the Grand Falls Gorge will take place. Those taking the trip should bring their own lunch, as a picnic will take place at the Grand Falls Marina.
    Following lunch, a visit to the Grand Falls Cultural Museum is planned. The museum offers pioneer and early Victorian artifacts and archival documents referring to the sons of temperance and genealogy. The cost is $10, which covers transportation and the guided tour.
    Both trips depart from the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center at 9 a.m. and return by 3 p.m.

Fat Tire Festival trip
    Join the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center for a trip to the Nordic Heritage Center’s Fat Tire Festival on Saturday, Sept. 27. This trip is open to youths in grades 6-9. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 493-4224.
Walking clinic
    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will offer a walking clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 6:30-10:30 a.m. The program, free of charge, is designed for anyone interested in walking for fun and fitness.
Living Well course

    The recreation department will offer a program entitled “Living Well.” The course, for adults ages 60 and older living with a chronic health condition, meets at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. beginning Nov. 4.
