The Maine Winter Sports Center will host the first Harvest Classic bike race and tour on Sunday, Sept. 21 in Caribou. The events will be a 40-mile bike race and 20-mile bike tour. The 40-mile event will be a two-lap race starting in the Caribou High School parking lot and looping through Carson, Perham and Woodland. The 20-mile tour, open to all abilities, will be a one-lap tour of the race course.
Start times will be 9 a.m. for the 40-mile race and 9:05 a.m. for the 20-mile tour. Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. in the Caribou High School parking lot.
The cost will be $12, or $10 with a donation of an old pair of used running shoes to the MWSC shoe recycling program.
