Frazier named as Island Falls new recreation director

    The Island Falls Recreation Department has a new recreation director.
    Ruth Frazier has been hired by the town selectman and will be holding a recreational meeting on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:45 p.m. at Municipal Building meeting room.
    Anyone interested in helping the recreation department through ideas, suggestions or volunteering their time is asked to attend the meeting. If someone is unable to attend this meeting, but is interested in joining the recreation committee to help make decisions, call the town office to leave a message for Frazier at 463-2246.
    Please come to the meeting to show support and help with getting things up and running.
    Anyone looking to volunteer his or her skill or to host a special event should call Frazier, as well.
    The recreation department will be hosting scrapbook and sewing events, along with computer lessons. Watch for dates and times.
    Frazier will be available at town office a few hours each week if anyone wants to call or come in to talk.
