BOSTON – WEEI Sports Radio, along with NorthEast-Eagle Electrical Distributors, today launched the second annual Friday Night Lights Community Sweepstakes. This contest gives cities and towns throughout New England the chance to win a brand new, installed sports lighting system for their youth football league field.
“We’re excited to continue our sponsorship of the 2nd annual Friday Night Lights community sweepstakes in 2008,” said Don Block, CEO and President of NorthEast-Eagle Electrical Distributors. “A fun and exciting community program like this, where we donate an outdoor lighting system to a local youth football field, makes sense for the company as a leading electrical distributor in New England. It provides a perfect conduit for NorthEast-Eagle to support our customers and give back to the communities they live in.”
The Friday Night Lights Community Sweepstakes is open to any football fields in all cities or towns in the following states that are used in whole or in part for youth football games: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine and Connecticut.
Entry into this contest will only be accepted from an authorized town or city representative. Entries must include the representative’s name, state, town/city they are entering on behalf of, contact phone number, position within the town, email address, name of the field they are nominating, a digital photo no larger than 2mb of the football field, and a short essay (250 words or less) describing why their town/city deserves to win the contest.
Entries will be accepted until October 12, 2008. For complete rules and an entry form visit www.newfridaynightlights.com.
Starting on October 13, 2008 and ending on November 16, 2008, all eligible entries that were received will be posted on www.newfridaynightlights.com and the public will be invited to vote. For every 100 votes for a specific football field, that football field will receive one entry in the grand prize drawing. The grand prize winner will be announced on December 1, 2008.
