The Caribou boys and girls soccer teams bounced back from losses to Presque Isle earlier in the week to claim shutout victories by identical 5-0 margins over visiting Foxcroft Academy Saturday afternoon.

The Viking boys, who fell by a 7-0 margin at Presque Isle last Tuesday, turned the tables on the Ponies as Cameron Anderson scored three times and Ethan McDuffie and Chad McCarthy netted a goal each for the winners.
McDuffie, Phil St. Peter and Nick James provided assists. Goalkeeper Eric Brown was tested very little, having to stop just two of five shots.
In the loss to the Wildcats, Caribou was outshot by an 18-4 margin as six different PI players notched goals. Russ Mortland scored two of the goals for Presque Isle.
On Thursday, Caribou tied Madawaska, 2-2, with Anderson and McDuffie notching goals for the host Vikings. Brown made nine saves on 14 attempts in goal.
The Caribou girls also beat Foxcroft Saturday, 5-0, as Kristen Espling and Jenna Selander netted two goals each in the win.
Jamie Martin was the other Lady Viking goal scorer. Paige Small, Emily Anderson and Lydia Kieffer had assists to back goalie Brittany Doak, who had four saves on the afternoon while facing six shots.
At Presque Isle last Wednesday, Caribou allowed a goal by Kayla Richards 10 seconds into the game and PI went on to a 2-0 win.
The Limestone/MSSM girls picked up a big 1-0 win over Washburn Saturday, using Caitlin Good’s goal midway through the first half to come out on top despite being outshot by a large margin.
Audra Kirk saved 11 of 25 shots in goal for the Lady Eagles, who improved to 4-4 on the campaign.
Washburn goalie Rachel Palmer stopped two of four shots.
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles beat Wisdom, 4-1, as Amanda Allen, Victoria St. Pierre, Stacy Bernier and Kellie Peers had the goals.
Washburn defeated Fort Fairfield in overtime, 2-1, also on Thursday. Meghan Saucier scored the game-winning goal in overtime to provide the margin of victory.
The Limestone/MSSM Eagle boys dropped a 3-1 decision to Wisdom Thursday, as John Dickey scored the Eagle goal.
