The Upper St. John Valley Senior Golf Association held a tournament at Fort Kent on August 6, with 124 players. Taking low gross honors was Fort Kent’s Medard Soucy with a score of 76, while low net went to Presque Isle’s Kenneth Fongemie with a 65.
Division I gross winners were: Soucy, 76; Cliff Chasse, Edmundston, 82 and Charles Violette, Presque Isle, 85. Net, Robert McFarlane, Edmundston, 72; Jerry Behr, Aroostook Valley, 75 and Gary Severson, Houlton, 78.
Division II gross winners were: Michael Gagnon, Caribou, 82; Richard Hallowell III, Caribou, 83 and Conrad Walton, Caribou, 85. Net, Bob Duprey, Presque Isle, 70; Hiram Towle, Aroostook Valley, 71 and Norman Cullins, 72.
Division III gross winners were: Rellon Powers, Houlton, 84; Lou Lorenzo, Caribou, 87 and Russell Bouchard, Presque Isle, 87. Net, Lloyd Soucie, Fort Kent, 71; Dave Dow, Long Lake, 72 and Lawrence Ouellette, Edmundston, 72.
