VNA holds raffle

    Visiting Nurses of Aroostook is selling a maximum of 1,000 tickets to raffle off to Quadra-Fire Mt. Vernon Pellet Stove plus free installation in Aroostook County.     The raffle includes a second place prize of $500 cash and third-fifth place prizes of $100 cash each.
    The proceeds will benefit the patients and families who receive home care and hospice services from Visiting Nurses of Aroostook and Hospice of Aroostook.
    “We are very excited to offer this raffle with such a timely prize,” explains Saundra Scot-Adams, executive vice president for Visiting Nurses of Aroostook. “We are grateful to our sponsors, Affiliated Healthcare Systems and The County Stove Shop in Caribou. They have helped make this raffle possible. We are proud of the excellent patient services we offer in the County and are deeply grateful to the hundreds of individuals and businesses that support our organization through donations and fundraisers such as this.”
    The Mt. Vernon Pellet Stove is a $3,700 retail value and offers up to 60,200 Btu/hour; more than 81 percent efficiency; five manual or automatic heat settings; cast iron fluted fire back; airfoil heat exchanger, and comfort-quiet blowers. The tickets are $20 each and will be at the VNA Office in Houlton (532-9261); Caribou (498-2578); and Fort Kent (834-3918). Tickets will be on sale now through Aug. 27.
    The winning tickets will be drawn on Thursday, Aug. 28, at The County Stove Shop.
